Some insurance companies still have the requirement that you have to have a physician issue you a prescription or referral to see a Psychologist or Psychotherapist with Limestone Clinic here in Kingston for your care to be eligible for funding.
While this might be an insurance requirement, it's in no manner a requirement of Limestone Clinic, and you don't need to send us this referral information unless you want to. We welcome anyone in the Kingston, Belleville, Brockville, Gananoque, Napanee, Perth, Smiths Falls, and the Thousand Islands regions to attend psychotherapy in our offices, and anywhere in Ontario to participate in therapy with us online.
Physician approval is not a necessary step to see a psychotherapist; but check with your insurance plan administrator to make sure that this isn't an extra step you'll need to get any eligible monies back from the insurance plan. If you don't have a family doctor, the medical physicians at any Walk-In Clinic are typically very accommodating to assist with these types of requests.
