🌼 It’s never too late to come home to yourself—or your relationship.
With a background in nursing and a lifelong passion for mental health, I bring a unique blend of clinical skill and heartfelt presence to my work as a psychotherapist. I’ve spent decades supporting individuals through health crises, trauma, grief, and personal growth—and now, I’m excited to bring that same deep care into talk therapy rooms.
Whether I’m supporting you through emotional overwhelm, couples tension, burnout, or trauma recovery, my approach is calm, collaborative, and emotionally attuned. I believe in starting with safety, building on trust, and working together to move toward the changes that matter most to you.
❤️ What It’s Like to Work With Me
Clients often say I have a soft and welcoming vibe—and that I bring both warmth and real-world perspective to the therapy space. I’m not afraid of the hard stuff, but we’ll go at a pace that feels manageable for you.
Working with me is like having someone in your corner who remembers your story, sees your progress (even when you don’t), and helps you unpack the emotional clutter that’s been weighing you down.
For couples, I help create space to understand each other again—clearing the emotional noise so you can reconnect with care, humour, and honesty.

I work with both individuals and couples, and I draw from therapeutic models like CBT, ACT, DBT, Gottman Method, EFT, Narrative Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, and more—blending them into sessions that are responsive, grounding, and geared toward your goals.
🎤 A Bit More About Me
I still work as a nurse educator/consultant—and the link between mental and physical health runs deep in everything I do.
I have a Bachelor of Nursing Science (Queen’s), a BA in Psychology (Trent), and an MA in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville).
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in public health, infection control, forensic psychiatry, and developmental disability support.
I once volunteered at the Kingston Sexual Assault Centre—offering both crisis line and court support.
I love horseback riding (I’ve had three horses in my life and still ride regularly!).
You might catch me singing loudly to “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”, watching Friends for the hundredth time, or reaching for a Diet Pepsi over coffee any day.
My hidden talent? Uncanny name recall.
In a zombie apocalypse? I’d be the team morale booster—offering empathy, humour, and emotional support until the very end.
🐎 Ready to Rein in the Chaos?
Therapy isn’t a sprint—it’s more like a trail ride. Sometimes bumpy, sometimes beautiful, but always better with a steady guide who knows the terrain. Whether you’re navigating tough relationship dynamics, healing from past wounds, or just trying to stay in the saddle emotionally, I’d be honoured to ride alongside you.
